Legal Department
In the banking services of Myanma Tourism Bank, the legal department is responsible for the legal management in accordance with the laws and rules by the State. Legal management includes prevention and remediation on legal damage.
The bank’s legal department has been established by legal professionals to ensure that the bank’s business services in accordance with the existing laws and to protect the bank’s interests.
Core Functions of the Legal Department
- Observation , reviewing and advising on the law and rule of CBM and ministries
- Reviewing, revising and writing NDA, MOU and Contracts of each departments of the bank.
- Inspection of Legal Audit on the matters of the loan department, such as credit contracts.
- Inspection of Legal Audit on the matter of the operational process in accordance with law
- Writing Title Clearance for new loan and providing Legal advice letters
- Issuing lawyer Notices, Managing on Civil and Criminal Case.
- Participation as a key role in Fraud Investigation to enhancing the bank’s security capacity.
- Managing on Legal affairs, prevention of legal damage and remediation on legal damage.
- Supporting to get income from providing advice from legal aspect on business process in order to understand legal affair to business department.
- Provide training/awareness to staffs to improve their legal knowledge and manage the bank’s legal risks;
General
The Legal Department also carries out legal affairs assigned by the BOD.
